465 + 205

I'm swappin i a 465 and 205 in place of my 350/203. I got new input and output seals for both. Rtving the pto coverd and the top of the inspection for the tranny. Also rtving the output cover... Not sure what it's called. Does that sound good to everyone? Did i miss anything? #2. How is the clutch/flexplate/ all that attached. I haven't ordered it yet that's next week's pay but i'd like to know how it goes together. Thanks in advance everyone.

Heres some info on the 465
"http://www.zieglerdigital.ca/public/downloads/sm465rbman.pdf"

You are going to have to buy a flywheel. Install it on the back of your engine, don't forget loctite. once that is done, it's just like changing the clutch.

How complicated is it to swap in the pedals and linkage on the frame? The exploded view in the factory manual looks like a bunch of small parts.

I just did the pedals a while back on my '87. It's a Pain in the butt. I ended up removing the column to get them in. Can't help on the other parts. I haven't gotten that far yet.

I've got a manual column and pedal assembly. Adding the clutch linkage looks like the most tedious part.

Well i got it mocked in and got my tranny crosmember bolt holes lined up. Question is how do i tell if i need a lever or diaphram style clutch? Will i have to change my fork with what style i want? I wabt the lever to feel more like an acual truck not like my ranger than only takes my pinky toe >:( it's almost done once i get my clutch in all i got left is sealing up the t-case and i'm done with the swap!!

About a year later... Wow. Another cab swap front end and got her runnin drivin. Well the front output to the front axle was leakin to bad it wouldn't hold fluid. Of course getting it out was the easy part and now that i got it all buttoned up, how the hell ya getter back in? I'm no small guy by no means but holy crap this is heavy. Anyone got tips or guidance to help? I put a flat piece of wood and set it on it and tried to level it with shims which ALMOST worked and then it fell... Again. Anyone wana take a guess at how to get it in?

if your talking about the transmission you might want to try a floor jack with a transmission adapter and roll everything on an old plywood
