My '92 build

I got this truck a few years ago for welding in some floor pans in a Nova and i figure its time to do a build i guess. Its a '92 2500 350/4l60 and had a locked up engine in it when i brought it home. It needed a ton of work but its cool, what doesn't especially when its free... here is when i brought it home.

Someone stole anything that had aluminum and whatever they could get off easily..

Interior was ragged out completely, passenger side pop out window was gone and the truck sat for 5 years.

Bought the parts truck there behind it for $150 and drove it home. Had trans problems though and the engine had 235K so i didnt use it.

Core support was bent bad so i did some swapping.

Took all the interior out including the dash and power washed everything. I got the rubber floor from stockinteriors.com.

Went to the local fabric shop and got the material to recover the head liner. Spent $30 total to redo it and it took longer to get all the plastics off than to do the headliner

Rebuilt engine bored .040 over with an RV grind cam. I got to use the machine shop that i used to work at to do the machine work so basically just cost me the parts and taking my old boss to lunch

Rebuilt the rear end and went from 4:11 to 3:73

Ill post more pics later. It really needs me to paint it but ive been to busy with everyone elses but its cool it will get its turn soon. Its my work horse so i don't care too much.

Re: My '92 build

 this one wont be lower, its my worker. Not to say a lowered one cant be but i used to drive the single cab i had that had a 5-7 drop and loading it down was no fun so this one will more than likely stay where its at. The crew on the other had is slammed :D

2" MORE!!!! Come on, a 2/4 drop would look sweet!!!! You know some springs and some hangers are just what the truck needs!!!

Very nice. Reminds me of the rebuild of my '92 in a way but I brought that thing home totaled. Got it back on the road the next day.
