Subject: Thought I would pass this on...

Governor Rick Perry is interested in finding out what Texans think
about the speed limit roll back to 55 from 70. (1-800-252-9600)

Please call Governor Perry's office (1-800-252-9600) and let them know
that if you are against the speed limit being changed to 55 miles and
hour.

You may have to hold for a minute, but you will speak with a live
person. It is fast and easy. Please pass this on to as many Texans as
possible. PLEASE call today.

is this for real? lol. i can imagin anyone thinking that this big ass state needs a 55mph limit.

I don't live in texas, but used to drive truck through there alot, you should have seen the look on my face when I saw the speed limit change when I got there, I'd heard rumors, but didn't think it was for real. All you Texans should call your governer and tell him to leave the limit alone!!! It's too damned far between towns in west texas, and I loved trucking through there, my kind of country, but that 55 speed limit for trucks really sucked.

AZ is 75 so most chaps do 90,funny seeing a old geezer in a granada bomb past you at 100mph.i try to stay at 75 because my tach is like 32-3400 rpm,and on a 200,000 mile plus 402 that could be alittle hard on her, maybe i should put in a little 283 and fly down the freeay all day ay 5000 rpm, damn id be screamin'Ole big blocks just dont care for that 5000 mark on the tach.

That's exactly why I'm putting a 700R4 in this summer; even just around the 101 and US60 in town, let alone I10 to Tucson and back, I'm wrapping it up near 4000RPM to go with traffic at some points!

Crap. The whole state of Oregon except I-5 and I-84 is still 55. That's for cars and everything. Thank goodness for term limits, we will get our "x-emergency room surgeon" Governer out and the cops will have to start looking for real crime.
