Buffing Enamel Paint?

I was toying with the idea of buying a buffer and trying to shine my 86 up. Every step by step I find is for clear coat paint. My 86 has enamel paint with no clear. Is it safe to buff? Normal waxing shines it up but it still has swirls and other blemishes. If not buffing what can i do to clean her up?

Also was looking at this buffer, any good? Is 6 or 7 inch better?

Original paint? Sure you can buff it. Slow speed buffer.

Id just use wax. The original paint is probably pretty thin so be carefull or no paint will be left

This stuff works good

Wax or that polymire stuff will still rub paint off
