In addition to those mentioned in post #1 of this for sale thread, there is a larger list in post #70. An even larger list including part numbers is included with every booster bracket.

thanks. aside from going to the parts store and measuring every one, does anyone know what the thinnest (closest to firewall) dual diaphram booster that will work with this bracket is?

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

I believe that most of the dual diaphram boosters will be close to the same depth. they are much deeper than a single diaphram booster. When you make a choice based on appearance versus suitability, you will usually be disappointed in it's function.

Have a black powder coated one available?

Captainfab 02-03-2020 10:22 PM

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

No I do not have a powder coated '60-'62 standard booster bracket in stock in satin black powder coat. The powder coating takes about a week to have done, plus I am currently 4-5 days out on building and shipping orders.

Hi Captain.
I have a 62 C10 that I am converting to automatic.
Do you still offer the bracket kit for a 62 c10? If yes, I would like to order.

Also - once I have this, who can recommend a reasonably priced booster? I don't need the master cylinder as I added this a while back when I converted the front brakes to disc.

thanks,
Nathan

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Hey Captain!

I am definitely a newbie to this whole thing, but can you tell me the difference between master cylinder bore, or how to calculate which one I should use?

I am looking to make minimal changes, but I have a transmission swap coming up ( t5) and I figure this is the only way to keep things straight while maintaining my drum breaks

Thank you

Could someone post a picture of how they modified the brake pedal pushrod please.

Here is what I ended up doing.

1965 GMC drum/drum

Power booster CARDONE 503715, 67-70 C10 application

Cut the eye off the end of the rod, threaded it 3/8”, 16 NC

Used a locknut, with a threaded 1.75” long union on the pushrod, drilled the union and rod, cotter pin.

Shortened pushrod length to 4.25”

Threaded the end which bolts up to brake pedal longer.
