Washing that black stuff from trees off my truck
hiyas folks.
so, I have my old '65 chevy truck... old everything... but the truck sits around, under or near several trees. Pine trees, big holly trees, oak trees mainly... and it gets this black powder dust junk on it and it is a pain to get off. Also, I have a few grease/grime hand/fingerprint spots I got on there and I need to get off. Any suggestions? triead my auto washign soap... dish washing soap... I'm not much into washing my truck very often but it got pretty dang dirty... heh. Any tips, tricks or product recommendatiosn appreciated. thank you, -W |

Cover it or build a car port?

Sorry 'bout not puttin' it in the detailin' section... I didn't see that there was one... guess I should wash my truck more, maybe I would have known that. :D
Thanks everyone. -W Fire it up, Let the engines roll. It's time to burn it down. - Black Label Society |
DOT 3 Brake fluid will take road tar off your truck without messing up the paint.. it also works great for getting black permenent marker off of computer monitors, as well as sticky tree sap drippings off vehicles.

1st never use Dish soap to wash cars messes up oils in paint. At the detail shop I work at I use laquer thinner on a rag takes it off and doesnt leave a residue .////

try a clay bar?

you could scrub the truck down with Bon-Ami great for the glass too ,then a good wash and wax job //keeping it waxed will help reduce staining
