Are all transfer case slip yokes interchangeable?

Would the slip yoke for a 2006 Silverado 2500hd fit into a squarebody np208/241 transfer case?

Preliminary research indicates that they should. Is there any chance the "missing" 32'nd spline on some shafts will cause any trouble?"

If they're a match, it looks like I could pull this newer shaft, have it shortened a few inches, and it would bolt right up to a 14-bolt axle from the same donor. This will likely be cheaper than changing the yoke on the 14-bolt to fit my old shaft. (No, a conversion u-joint is not an option)

I have a 32 spline slip yolk from an express van with a 4l80e in my 32spline np205 with no issues.

Re: Are all transfer case slip yokes interchangeable?

To answer my own question, I tried three driveshafts on a 1991 Suburban np241 output shaft, which should be the same as the np208 output shafts. I tried a 1987 v20, 2005 Silverado 2500hd, and a 2010 Tahoe. All three slip yokes went right on without problems, and they all measured 1.990 inches in outside diameter. They were all about six inches long, when measured from the ujoint weld to the end of the slip yoke. There were slight differences in length, possibly a 3/8" difference between the longest and shortest one.

I'll be using a full-float 14-bolt disk brake axle from a 2005 2500hd truck. I'll replace the seals and bearings in this axle, but leave it completely stock. I also got the driveshaft from the same truck, since it should fit perfectly.

I found quotes of $125 to shorten and balance this steel driveshaft. If it was an aluminum shaft, it would have cost $50 more for the same process.
