TBH I would worry most about having to replace them when they fail. Bags are about $60 a piece on sale but can you replace only the bag when it goes bad with the shockwaves? If so they may be a good choice for the amount of time and work they save.

The sander (not grinder) had a wore out piece of sandpaper and was dialed down to a VERY low RPM. No worries.

Good to know that the shockwaves can be rebuilt, I'll have to look at them a little more closely.

Good point crews about forming good safety habits early. Lucky for me, my older brother always told me horror stories and worst case scenarios about people who didn't use adequate precautions... otherwise I might be taking more risks than I need to. I guess if you are luck like me, your eyesight is bad and you have to wear glasses anyway ;)

awesome build bro ! I was thinking about bagging our 2000 burb , but honestly thats more work and money than i was planning on ! Think ill be goin with a static drop ! Thanks for the writeup on it , you surely shed some light on my decision !
