Need help identifying my differential
 

This is the differential I have on my 67 C10. I want to swap in some 5x5 axles and do a disc brake conversion. If have any axle recommendation they will be greatly appreciated.

When i converted my 68 to 5 lug, I bought an axle kit to do the conversion from Moser. I wanna say it was a couple hundred for the new 5 lug axles and they slid right in with no issues

Here is a cheaper axle. I'm sure it's not as good as the Moser 68350 linked.

These are what I ordered and when I was installing them I noticed they were made in India. Which, in my mind having seen other metal parts from India, makes me think they may not be the highest quality. All machining looked nice though.

I would look up axle code or pull the axles and measure them
Some time around 70 71 gm started putting wider axles in these trucks

looks like a 12 bolt can not see the whole cover count how many bolts in the cover should be 12 bolts

Okay well I don't know if this rear end is from 67,68 or 69

The HA indicates it's a 3:73 gear. G is Chevy Gear and Axle, The 9 is the ninth day of the year and the 3 would be third shift. It is a GM Truck 12-Bolt that can be from 67-68 or 69...Might be a date stamped on the ring gear...That's not a factory panhard bar so it wouldn't be to surprising to find that the gear set has been changed and if your lucky you'll find a positrac has been installed. You wont know for sure unless you remove the cover and look at the stamped numbers on the edge of the ring gear. Judging from the crusty build up it's leaked a bit so it's a good idea to open it up and inspect it. You'll need a Fel-Pro #RDS13391 cover gasket for the GM 12T (Truck 12-bolt) and two quarts of MP SAE80w-90 gear lube. Any good synthetic will do nicely unless it's a positrac. A Posi requires 4 oz. of ACDelco LS Additive #88900330...

That is good now you know you need a set of 60 to 69 5 bolt axles to fit your diff to convert it

Captain fab on here makes brackets and has a parts store list of items

It doesn't make a difference. "HA" in all three years is a 3.73 and the housings are all the same. I think the only difference would be if it was a leaf spring or coil spring.
