I'm posting these (crappy pictures) for Film Guy. This is his project and it's going to be killer when it's done. I'll let him tell you all the details but again sorry for the pictures, I was going to roll it outside to take some better full frame pictures but it started to rain and the shop is packed full so this is as good as I could get.... enjoy!

What front end is that? I like the shockwave mounts!

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........

Who's front cross member did he use?? Porterbuilt's??

Alvin 01-08-2007 04:52 PM

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........

Looks more like a regular mustang II IFS than porterbuilt's dropmember.. but I'm no expert.

Who makes those wheels? I can't make out the name. I really like those.

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........

Hi Guys, I'm not really sure where to begin, It's a very long story. Quick recap. I have a long bed 72 Cheyenne Super (big block). I want a short bed on air, in the weeds rollin 20's. Started with a original short bed 68 chassis. Stripped it and installed a KP Components notch. Installed a Fatman Fab MII front suspension w/ Shockwaves. Upgraded the brakes to a Willwood 6-piston front caliper and a 13 inch rotor. Ordered the wheels. Custom made Forge line 3-piece. Fronts are 20x10 and the rears are 20x12.5. Out back is a Ford 9-inch w/ Nodular case 31 spline axles and a Detroit Tru-trac. Again Willwood brakes 4 piston internal parking brake type. CPP trailing arms connect to a E.C.E. cross-member. I have been accumulating parts to make this happen for 2 years. I'm just glad to see it roll.

Definitely a nice start on the foundation! What is the body going to look like?

Film Guy 01-09-2007 12:03 AM

Re: Film Guy Project Build Thread........

Outside the body is completely stock. 72 Cheyenne Super Fleet-side short-bed. Solid black paint, upper and lower chrome installed. Lower chrome has wood grain. All emblems and lights are present. Fuel tank is no longer in cab and hole welded up. Chrome under rear window (paint separator) has been removed. Other than that, Its bone stock. I restored this truck about 8 years ago. Paint is still in good shape. I would post more pics but I can't seem to re-size them properly for this site. I am working on that.

Got some pictures of the truck the way it looks today, it's already a nice truck but after Ron gets finished it's going to be a Vette with a bed!

calling that a nice truck is an understatement...

I can't imagine what it's gonna look like when it's done.
