Wood floor

Is there any market for the original wood floors in our burbs.
I am going a different route with my floor and i don't want to just cut it out if someone could use it.

don't throw out an original floor if it is in good shape. that old marine plywood is good stuff if and perfect for someone doing a frame-off and needing a replacement for a floor that has been hacked up over the years.

as for aftermarket replacement, should be able to adapt a kit for a pickup. burb cargo floor behind the second row is about the same as a short bed pickup. i like the look of polished oak (or whatever else looks nice) with stainless strips. would look awesome in a burb, even with a third row seat installed. but i think the effect is perfect in a panel truck (longer cargo floor) and would make a nice clean platform for a mattress when you go RVing!

Re: Wood floor

thanks,
I am going to do a dark cherry floor with the smooth boltless aluminum strims from Mar-k.

What is an original wood floor in perstine condition worth.

Re: Wood floor

whatever you want to ask for it i guess....but that doesn't guarantee a sale!

there isn't a huge demand for them, but they are a good piece to save for a rainy day as most burb parts are harder to come by naturally.

I'd keep it around to make a good template out of it.
Having good documentation on dimensions, and placement of all the bolt holes will be invaluable for the next burb owner that is without a floor to copy.

Heck, if you were close - I'd be interested in it just for the value of copying it.
