Hey robert I have a policy to not bid on items that a board member is bidding on.. So let me know.. You found it you got 1st dibs..

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Not a problem. 99% of the auctions I go for are Buy It Now. I hate waiting for an auction to end. If I post an auction listing up here, I won't be bidding on it.

Is anyone else bidding on the green '69 Highway 61 pickup model on ebay? Me and another member were unknowingly driving the price up and I just wanted to see if we were the only ones from the board. Please don't outbid me :) (I'm the high bidder at $113) Thanks, -Jamie

I was messing around with one of my Dazed And Confused 72's and put these wheels on it, now I know they are a little:bling: but they were all I had, and I really hate the wheels that came on them, so anyway here it is ..

And with the originals

It is an improvement over the 90's stock chevy aluminum wheels.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Yeah. Dazed and Confused was a 1993 movie (which explains how those rims got on the truck) but was set in 1976. I wish they would have at least put rallys on the truck to make it close to the actual period.

In the movie, the truck had different wheels. Aluminum slots if I remember correctly. The model is inaccurate.

Krikey! Someone bid an amount almost as ridiculous as the amount I bid so no one would snipe me. I may need to rethink my bidding tactics...

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I just watched it on DVD. First time I saw it all the way through. Yeah, it had the aluminum slots. They had so many nice trucks/cars in that movie. And all of them had fantastic paint jobs; no rust, no body work needed.
Did anybody notice on the diecast, that it has four wheel disc brakes?

Wal-mart is the only place I have seen the dazed and confused trucks. Most have been discounted out at my stores.

There was also a '77 El Camino even though it was set in the summer of '76.
