Gas Pedal ID?
2 Attachment(s)
I’m at a slight bump in my build and need some help identifying my gas pedal assembly. I ordered the spring and nut from LMC but it just isn’t matching up like it should. As always, I could be doing something wrong.

Re: Gas Pedal ID?
It looks like a '71-'72 pedal. Can you post a picture of the front of it? '73 and newer were wider at the bottom, not rectangular.

Re: Gas Pedal ID?
I have to agree. But I have seen a slight few of the early 73 with the 71-72 style pedal on them but most would be the later style.

Here’s a pic of the pedal as assembled as well as where it’s bolted to the firewall.
Thanks for everyone’s help! |

Re: Gas Pedal ID?
Wixthegog you have the same gas pedal as the one in my 75-C10. Lmc sent you the wrong spring for your pedal.
My factory gas pedal spring looks just like the spring in this link. Except my original spring is all grungy. LOL https://www.classicparts.com/1967-81...ctinfo/39-331/ |
Re: Gas Pedal ID?
Thanks for the confirmation, you guys rock!
I’ll get the right spring ordered. |

Based on the parts catalog there are a few different pedals through the years but based on the illustration page they show one style for C/K models- same as my '74 has. There is some detail about 1st design vs 2nd design and what to look for.
