NEED HELP, Belt routing Diagram,6.5L TD, no AC
just like the title says, couldn't find one , I'm not sure the NO A/C routing was any different, because they only list one belt. (maybe a big pulley in compressor's place), thank you, Crossy

Re: NEED HELP, Belt routing Diagram,6.5L TD, no AC
There are 2 diagrams depending on whether you have dual or single alternators.
The bypass pulley does not exist for your application. You can search with a search engine and find a guy who did it with a dorman unit available at the local parts place and made an extra bracket. He has pictures. If I were you, I'd just remove the internals from the compressor and use it. |
Re: NEED HELP, Belt routing Diagram,6.5L TD, no AC
never had A/C. found out from a, few diagrams I had, that mine used the A/C routing, but they used the vacuum pump where they show the A/C compressor, .
thankfully i could read the number on the old belt.thanks |

The AC compressor pulley, AC idler bearing, and AC clutch are a replaceable service part.
You can put a brand new compressor clutch set on a disconnected seized compressor and "viola" you have an idler. I would tie the plug somewhere safe and mark the top of the compressor with a paint pen "SEIZED LEAVE UNPLUGGED". |
