292 Engine mount

Are the engine mounts the same on 292 as 250. I know the passenger frame mount is different. Thanks

The engine mounts themselves are the same '63-'72 for the 230,250, 292, 283, 307, 327 and 350's

Am I missing spacers or something? It likes about an inch being long enough to set on the perch.

Do you have the brackets between the block and the engine mounts?

it sounds like someone using a 292 perch on a 230-250 eng. there are only 2 different perches in 2 wd and 2 different engine applications. if it don't match up with one it must be the other. there were no other options. he may be also trying to fit a gmc perch in there but do not know what that outcome would be but doubt that it would work.

Re: 292 Engine mount

I had dramas with mine as somebody had butchered some BB mounts to fit the brackets for a 250. So when I put a V8 in it was about an inch out.

I got rid of it all and went for a tubular mount that moved the engine forward for the MSD cap.

but we so far can only go by the info that has been given and it is skimpy. n o one has mentioned anything other than a stock applications so far. he has been asked on 2 forums for pictures and hasn't done so yet. if pictures are given then the problem may be solved
