Trim Parts

I am at the point with my truck looking to get her painted so I will need new emblems for my 1967 C10 so I was looking at trim parts for my emblems. Someone said these were billet emblems so has anyone used these emblems? thanks Rick

I have purchased all available emblems for my 1970 from them. They are the closest quality to original GM you can get. They are not low pressure castings, and the chrome quality and paint details are very good to excellent.

I don't have experience with them personally but I have always seen people referring to them as "as close to OEM as possible without purchasing NOS emblems". However I have never seen them referred to as being billet. Also, the 1969-72 Chevrolet Truck Glove Box Door "Chevrolet Custom" Emblem is not correct. The font used for CHEVROLET is slightly different and should be painted silver instead of being black. That being said, I would likely use them for the 69-70 hood bowtie and C/10 emblems on my truck if I decided to replace the originals.

Original glovebox emblem, then Trim Parts version. Some folks may not notice, or care but...

That one is pretty bad. It should be brought to their attention.

Their CST emblem looks good.

IF this is a true NOS GM part as the listing states, then there were two variations of this emblem...

Re: Trim Parts

I saw that the other day and would have bought it but I am very skeptical. The font for CHEVROLET is not the same as the factory installed ones nor is it the same as the Trim Parts piece, i.e. look at how wide the opening in the “R” is. Also, I’ve never seen an actual GM Part come in blue and white box AND be in a clear plastic bag. I don’t believe I’ve seen a genuine GM part come in a plastic bag that doesn’t have blue sections with the GM logo and part number printed on it. Seems like an aftermarket part and a GM box. That is, if the box is even original since they don’t show the part number or GM logo.

Here are unrestored Customs with the glovebox emblem with the black lettering:

Well, that makes it a little more interesting since those match the one currently on eBay. I wonder if there was a certain time they swapped over to the black style. Mine is a 70 built of course in 69.
