X Pipe?

Anybody running an X Pipe in their K5? Where did you fit it in? Do you have pics of the install? Was looking under my rig today and am not sure where I can fit one in. Any info appreciated.

Thanks
James

I wouldn't bother with it. There is way to much stuff under there to go to the trouble. Especially for an almost insignificant mpg or hp gain. Just my $.02

Yeah, I thought so, but there are some pretty darn creative people on this board and thought somebody might have come up with something that would work pretty easily.

Thanks
James

Most X-pipes block access to trans pan, I used H-pipe on my
67 swb p/u and it still creates issues sometimes. :D

I have an H pipe on my '71 Jimmy (350). I had them set it back a few inches so I could get to the SM465 Muncie if I had to. It adds a little torque and also helps out with "street stealth." (So you sound not as loud to cops.)

In my opinion, a better way to go is with a two into one collector with a large single exhaust. Check www.castheads.com for their mandrel bent exhaust with the two into one collector. Supposedly it adds more hp than a dual system.

I am in the process of installing it onto my truck right now. I have the ported Corvette ram horns (2.5" outlet) with 2.5" mandrel bent pipes leading into the two into one. Brzizinsky's kit fits the Blazer quite well, placing the collector on the drivers side of the transmission, the same routing the factory uses. I will use the factory hangers. I got a 3" dynomax RV muffler (big!)that can flow enough for 500 hp, and then a mandrel bent 3" tail pipe. I'm hoping it will be quiet too.

I have it built to the muffler right now, and it is tucked out of the way.

Davey, I just got a digital camera, but have yet to try it. I will attempt to put some pictures online this weekend when I have some time. Be patient though. I'm not too handy with these new-fangled doo-hickey thinga ma jigs...:D

thanks skid.

I read their website...interesting. Big horse power gain with their collector.
