Re: project: homegrown scrapper

looks like a good start, but why a 3in bodydrop you only need 1in to lay body or are you going to door it?

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

I think you might need an alignment... :D

Great looking build!

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

lay body is what i wont
so i dont need to z it that much?
1 inch z is ok?

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

A "Z" and a bodydrop are two seperate things. to lay body i would move the body mounts on the frame down 1", the "Z" depends on tire size.

what size tires do you plan on running?

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

looks like a nice start... i agree on the body drop part, these trucks really dont need one, if all your looking to do is lay the rocker

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

For a 20 in rim the common tire size is about 27 in tall. i Z'ed my old frame 3" and could lay out on a 29 in tire with ART arms (upper and lower). I would think a 2 in "Z" would get you on the frame. but you might want to look into a crossmember section might work better for you....

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

what size wheel are u running fnlow69?

FnLow69 03-01-2008 08:30 AM

Re: project: homegrown scrapper

My new frame is set up to run a 28 in tire in front and if i could a 30 in back. the old frame that i Z'd was running a 27 in tire.
