I dig the air cleaner, maybe clean up the holes with a dimple die?

They would have to face out as the air cleaner is right against the housing. I don't think that would look good. And I don't have dimple dies LOL.

I like it!!! Is there a way you could put a flare on the end of the snorkel?

I tried a little with a ball peen. I need to use it against a dolly. The snorkel metal is pretty thin but it had a flare originally, so I'm sure it can be done.

I put another hole between the writing and the snorkel today. Also installed the water outlet wand a coolant bypass hose. Started mounting a coolant overflow bottle. Measured up and ordered battery cables. Ordered 2 Auto meter pro lite 2-1/16"gauges which I am going to mount in the vertical rectangular spot on the dash.

Wood stained and 2 coats of semi gloss marine varnish. Tranny cooler lines done. I think the wood will look good with the unpolished stainless strips and stainless carriage bolts.

5 year update LOL. Fired up the truck finally. 385 fast burn GM crate motor. I had been dreading installing all new wiring and finally started so I could get this thing running. Using American Autowire kit like I did on my 62 Impala.
