removing tranny lines. how much loss of fluid ?

Have to remove tranny lines from the transmission and was wondering how much fluid I,ll loose. The nose of the truck is up right now. Just wondering so I can get more fluid ahead of time.

If you have a quart of ATF sitting around, you should have enough when you start it up again

Unless you forget to connect one of the lines before you start it up again. Ask me how I know...

That would be a tad bit messy.

Thanks. Just wanted to know, I replaced something before and didn,t think I would loose much and was 3-4 quarts ,so it seemed and I had small bowl and it made a big mess. Not much fun cleaning it up when you have to crawl underneath again.
