72 Blazer lift question..
 

Currently restoring the 72.. I picked it up from my brother, he had put some 4" EZ lift on it years ago and then quit driving it because it handled terrible.. From the front end never being rebuilt and the old steering box its no wonder..

I personally will not need that much lift.. I will not go larger than 33's and I believe 2" lift should handle them? I was going with ORD 2" set up..

My other question is with this current lift the steering arm is not stock, when I lower it down 2" should I find a stock steering arm.. Not sure how much lift these can handle without needing to either have a lift arm or some kind of offset..

33” tires will clear on a stock height K5 so a 2” would be fine.

I’m not completely sure about lift and need for a new steering arm. I’m thinking 2” will be fine w an oem steering arm.

I have 33's with a 2" lift with stock steering arm. Works perfect !!

To do it correctly and have everything line up I would purchase a stock steering arm and add a 2 inch drop pitman arm. That is what I’m doing. I’m going down from a 6 inch lift to a 2.5 lift. I too bought a stock steering arm.

I have 12.50X33 BFG all-terrain tires on mine. I just returned it to stock height. I like the look much better, and I suspect the ride will be better as well.

Thanks for the info everyone, it appears I will be looking for a stock steering arm.. Is there a specific year range that will work, possibly in the mid to late 70's as they are more common? Anyone happen to have the orig part number?
