Cool,

This area has something for every type of person, is a major business hub, very nicely represents all 4 major sport leagues ( uh... come on Mavs! ), produces beautiful women and hosts some of the coolest public events! DFW airport brings the rest of the planet within reach too.

Good luck and hope to see you at Goodguys '17.

Sheriff Department releases my plates to me yesterday. Will be using them on my next truck that will have tracking installed. Received a tip through Craigslist and will be checking it out on Saturday.

I wouldn't spend too much time looking for a guy with a firearm felony record. Or at least if I found him, I wouldn't confront. Let the professionals handle that.

Being indignant (and right) doesn't stop bullets.

Spent Saturday following up on a tip. No luck, just lots of mud on my car.

I keep returning to this thread, hoping that the last post is good news: truck has been found, with little or now damage.

I hope they get him before he commits anymore felonies.

Asked the detective. Rookie pulled him over that did not know him by site. He gave false name to rookie. Veteran officer comes as back up and recognized thief. Told him to get on ground. Thief runs into bushes, rural area, and deputies pursue on foot. One deputy falls down hill and other officer goes to help him. They loose site of thief who circles back to the car and gets away. Detective said thief travels with backpack with tools and shaved keys. His MO is to get out of jail steal a couple cars, get high and gamble at Indian casinos and repeat until he gets caught again. All the veteran sheriffs know him on site. What a piece of $hit.

Who knows! For sure the guy got away from the cops, on foot with tools. It's not likely the OPs truck would even still be on his mind.

How does it work if they do find it? I'm curious. I had a restored 89 Blazer stole while it was for sale. Luckily I kept insurance on it while it was out by the road. This was almost 15 years ago. I was paid a fair value for it at the time. I signed off the title to the insurance company, so at that point, it was no longer my vehicle. If it were to ever get recovered the insurance company would sell it as salvage. This is pretty common practice. I forgot if you said that it was insured or not. I never heard anything again about my Blazer. So, if you are in the same circumstance, you may not find out if your truck is ever recovered.

Don't worry the insurance co. and police are covering the whole thing..
At some point the TRUTH will come out.

Loose libs sink ships..

Again, please drop off this thread. You offer nothing and I don't like your insinuations. This forum is a very positive environment that I have been apart of for almost seven years. You are new here and seem negative.

Not that it is any of your business, but the insurance company is not covering the "whole thing."

No insurance so the truck comes back to me if recovered.

No, he was in a different vehicle when he was pulled over. This is when they found him in possession of several sets of license plates.
