Is this needed? LS swap evap valve

See below - there is what appears to be an EVAP valve solenoid on our 2012 Gen 4 5.3 engine and there is no wiring to plug into it and there is also what looks like an outlet on that valve as well as a piece of tubing on the passenger side of the engine which has nothing connected. We bought the engine from a dismantler who took it out of a wrecked 2012 Silverado. We also had the harness reworked by Speartech (emissions and VATS removed) and we don't have any extra leads to plug into the valve. Since the emissions were removed from the computer, I'm assuming that this valve does not need to be hooked up to the computer? And how should we go about plugging or completing the loop with the open vapor tube?

This may be more of an LS1Tech forum question, but I thought maybe someone here had ran into this at some point.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

The valve is a purge valve. It is only for emissions. It is not needed for your vehicle. The tube coming from your passenger side valve cover needs to be run into your intake tube

You mean it needs to be ran to the tubing between the air filter and the throttle body? And what about the open inlet/outlet on the valve?

Cap them both off or remove the solenoid & the tube at the other end & cap it off.
The tube on the other side is where the crankcase gets it's fresh air from after PCV pulls thru the engine.

Yes that is the intake tube. If you dont have the purge valve connected to the ecm it will not draw vacuum. If you remove the valve you will need to plug the vacuum port.

If you end up going speed density I used the plug in the intake for my IAT sensor. Works great for it.
