cant get a wrench on front bleeder screw

I am having trouble bleeding my brakes. i cannot get a wrench on the front bleeder screws because of their location. My brake pedal goes pretty much to the floor before i begin to stop.

Another reason to convert to disc brakes....

Sorry, to compound your ordeal...the simplest way I know to remedy this deal, is to take a die grinder and grind a relief in the spindle. It's so tight, making the grinding a challenge also...

Its pretty simple.

1. Use a deep well 6 point socket to first ensure the bleeder is loose. Sometimes I tighten them just a hair and undo.

2. Take the appropriate 12 point box end and bend it approx. 1/2 to 1 inch from the box end at an angle. I prefer the box end to a line wrench due to the strength being a bit better.

Pic coming. I have used this tool for years, BUILT NOT BOUGHT!

Hate to say this, but go to Harbor Freight and buy the 7pc brake tool set. It will set you back a whole $20, but comes with all the tools to deal with brake springs, bleeders and adjusting wheels. The wrenches might be a bit flimsy to break a stuck bleeder loose, but they are 6pt and can take a bit of torque.

Yes it's a pain withe brake hose right against it. Amazing the things they do! I ground down a wrench so it would give me a little room. Bending it would be better as shown above but I did get it to work.

I had the same problem. Then I picked up a metric deep well socket.
10mm.
