Ok well this update is little late but thought I should post. I ended up painting the driver fender and door. I'm hoping to have the cab painted this weekend but not sure.

Well nothing too exciting to update on, front and rear windows are in. Most of the hardware is ready to hang the body panels some time during the week

Didn't get as far as I wanted this weekend but had to put some time in on a new project that I just started. Probably will hang the fenders tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

That dude is looking sweet. They really start looking like a truck instead of a pile of rolling parts once you hang the fenders. Hood will tie it all together.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Finally got all the wiring done under the dash and put the gauges in. Hope to have the harness mostly done in the engine compartment by the end of today.

Re: '68 GMC 1 ton dually restoration

Not much to show but the wiring harness is finished and the was able to hookup the battery and test everything, the only problem I'm having is the new turn signal switch is not canceling the flashers.

Re: '68 GMC 1 ton dually restoration

The armature is probably broken in the column. Or if it's a new napa(or aftermarket) the teeth don't reach I have had that problem. Looking greats though!

Finally it runs, got everything hooked up and broke in the cam. Today's plans are to change the oil and fine tune it.

Put the grill on yesterday and got all the lights working properly, still waiting for the clearance lights to come back from the chrome shops. Taking it out of the back yard tomorrow and driving it for the first time in 15 years.
