Truck and Van Steering Columns the same?

I am wondering if an 80's pu truck steering column would fit into an 80's Chevy van? Are they the same?

Thanks

As hatzie said. I think the vans are longer then the trucks then wiring floor seals just to start.

The G series had the ignition in the dash at least through 79.
I'd be willing to bet the harmonica plug and other switches are the same connectors but the column is a different length and mounting angle.
