do you have any kits left with all pieces needed to convert to an ammeter to a volt setup? il be converting a dummy light truck to a cluster set up with tach

Hi Michael,

Yes I have everything you need for a volt gauge conversion. You have a full gauge tach cluster and want to replace the amp gauge with my volt gauge conversion, correct?

You also have a choice of faces for the volt gauge. Factory amp gauge face, the 76+ gauge face or the overlay that looks like GM would have done it in 67-72, had they used volt gauges. There should be photos of all of the options in the thread.

Let me know,
Tom

Yeah but this thread got huge. I dont want the newer style sticker. I'll keep the OE face.
What's my total?

Steve,

Does your fuel gauge work correctly? The power for the temp gauge and the fuel gauge come into the circuit board through the pink wire on the connector. You need to have battery voltage on that wire.

Check that and let me know.

Take care,
Tom

I am having trouble getting the fuel gauge working as well. I installed a new repro blazer tank and sender when i reassembled the truck, and a new wire from the tank up to the fuse panel. ???

Re: Volt Gauge Conversion Kits

It turns out I had to run a ground wire for. The cluster to the dash. This solved not only the volt gauge not. Working, but also the fuel gauge. The voltage gauge works great!

Now on to getting the temp gauge working!

Tom,

I forgot to write to tell you how much I like this conversion.
Here it is showing what's *actually happening* at about 850 RPM's.

A very nice change from the amp gauge.

I appreciate the kind words and glad you like the conversion. That is a nice looking dash as well.

Take care,

Tom

You're welcome.
And, "thanks".

That pic came from a still from this video I made so my wife could laugh at me for grunting and
groaning after working all day under the dash and hood of the truck.

The easiest part of the day was the conversion.

Hi Zach,

I will help you out with that but I am going to the Portland swap meet this week. Please get back with me in a week from now and I will take care of it.

Take care,
Tom
