I posted last month when I tore the old body off this chassis, got to working on it yesterday. Rebuilt the front end and got the thing painted. Then today I started tearing into the truck that will be using the body off of. Here is what I have so far. Going to paint the motor tomorrow. I hope to have it swapped this weekend.

Nice job Joe. That is exactly what I thought of doing with Andrews truck with that frame I bought from you but the factory air thing I couldn't live without. That is the quick way to make a nice truck. Mark

Here is the motor, got most of it painted and put back together yesterday. It was a 50k original mile truck so I didn't do anything to the motor but valve cover gaskets. Not sure if I will get the body swapped this weekend now or not?

Rob, Yes it is a York compressor. I want to keep the under dash a/c and charge it up.

When you decide 2 build another BLAZER just drive down here in that Black
dually in you avy and take "GQ" back with you. That way you'll get a head
start and I get what I have always wanted. Sounds like a win win to me :D

BTW - I have the same compressor for my air ride, could you get me some
high res detailed pic's of those brackets? ( luv2xclr8@charter.net ) Thanks

Had any thoughts of breaking down both sets of wheels and transferring those bigger tires to the newer alloy wheels? I think that'd look pretty badass! Then again, it looks like you're going for the original kickass look, with no modernizing? Either way, it looks awesome and you are really making some head way on it!

Man that's looking good, what size tires are those? 235/85's?

that is going to look sharp! I may have to start selling a few things to see if I can buy it when your done!

Re: Started the 4x4 build yesterday

Thanks guys!! I am going for a bone stock look.
I am not real crazy about the newer wheels on these trucks. The tires are
LT265/75/16
I am not going to add any trim to the truck, allthough I think it would look good.

I had a friend punch out a set of hub caps for the front, but I kind of like the no hub cap look!!! I will get more pics as I move along. I might be stuck on it for a week or so, I am going out of town for a few days.

P.S. Its for sale too!!

Re: Started the 4x4 build yesterday

Joe, I hate to back-track, but in the pic with the engine, is there a huge chunk out of that drivers side front rim, or is that just me?

And I must say, the truck looks damn good!

No chunks out of any of the wheels. These wheels are actually new take off's from a 1987 Chevy truck, this is the paint from the factory!!! They have been in boxes for all those years!!!
