New house for the herd

I’ve been working on this for the last year. Trying to get it enclosed for the winter. Although winter is already knocking on the door. I’m at 7000ft in Idaho.
It’s 44’ deep and 40’ wide with 16’ walls.
Some progress pics so far.

Looks great so far! My dad & stepmom live north of you near Sandpoint ID. I love it up there!!! I’d love to move out of the humidity belt and be up there.

Thanks for the compliments. I need to update my profile, I live in Island Park now. And yeah, it’s been cold the last few days. Too cold for October. Feels more like January.

When I was younger I thought about living in a tee-pee. But I was in San Diego, where you could. They dont make garage tee-pee's though so thats out.

Well, we survived the winter. I got it enclosed with the garage doors on. Getting the floor poured in the next few weeks. Then insulation and lean toos on both sides. I’ll post some more pics soon.

Here is the progress. Getting ready to pour the floor. It will be 5” with radiant heat. Extra rebar and welded wire for the lift bases.
Any suggestions for more improvements?

We got the floor poured last week.
Now I have a quick question. Who has used a concrete Densifier? Have you liked it better than an epoxy finish?
Any suggestions or recommendations? The floor is 1700 sq ft.

I don't have anything for you on the concrete products, just looking for an update on the sweet shop!@

Re: New house for the herd

I don’t have any new pics. We had to move a bunch of stuff in for the winter so progress has been slow.
I was able to get the lean too on both side before winter hit. And I put metal on the ceiling.
I’ll get some current pics soon.

Well, I got my floor poured and my lift in since I posted last. I wanted to be farther along but I’m not willing to pay today’s prices for materials.
Here’s to hoping they come back to earth soon.

Believe it or not, it only called for 4” of 3000psi concrete. I went a bit over since I’m the one standing under it. Lol
5” of 5000psi concrete.
