Fronts are 225/60/15's w/(I think?) 3 1/2" offset running 1 1/2" spacers (quality spacers mind you!!)
Rears are 275/50/15's w/5" offset.

I liked how the fronts are pushed out of the wheel well more than the standard offset.

Thanks for the comment Steemin. Your truck is awesome as well. I think the only problem I have with the paint I/we chose is that it "NEEDS THE SUN" or at least some high intensity lighting. If there's no sunshine or lighting the truck just looks Hugger Orange :(

It's House of Kolor Sunset Pearl. The color is actually multiple coats of the pearlescent orange. 9 COATS TO BE EXACT!! Coverd by 6 coats of clear. HOK states that you are supposed to use 2-3 Heavy coats but that is total bull$#%&!! We layed down 3 heavy coats and the paint looked like someone just puked on my truck!! It looked like crap. So we just continued to add color until I thought it looked RIGHT! All in all it took 3 times the amount of paint that HOK quoted me!! That equates to 3x the $$$$.

Funny story about that color-

2 weeks ago when I finally put the truck up for sale at the biggest local swap meet we have all year around here,(Monroe) another fellow had a 69 pickup that was supposedly sprayed with the same color I used. Well~ like my description above whoever shot it did just as HOK says to do. It looked like POOP! It was obvious that there was only 3 coats at best on the truck. I feel bad for the guy and heard a strory goin round that was pretty much the way it happened too. Also heard he was selling it becasue of it. I'd be interested to find out if that was the case?

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

Thanks! So the pearl is in the base.....Your truck looks darker than mine.....I really dig it though!
My truck is a 1993 fleet orange (tangerine I think) in Chromabase, then a few coats of gold pearl infested clear, then straight clear.....
I noticed that there is some cracking in the paint on the roof, had a guy look at it for a repair, gonna be tricky getting the proper mix of pearl to match it...:(

My paint is a 3 stage:
White base (I think 3 coats so it was totally even)
Orange pearl (lots of it, 9 coats)
Clear (6 coats)

Yeah blending in on pearls and flakes is tough... It takes the right guy.. We have to fix my polishing boo boo on my hood:whine: before the guy comes to pick it up... My buddy is a friggin Pro when it comes to blending so I think it will be ok. Too bad he moved to Sequim: :( !! He's driving over Friday night on the ferry and we're gonna shoot it.

What is that a '64-'65? They seem to always seem to rust in the same place on those years. Are you about ready to get started on it? Is that a new windshield? I have always loved that body style.

It's a '63 Longbox C10. And no I'm not quite ready.... I've got 3 others I need to choose from for the next project.... And that's after I do a little revamping on the shop. Want to finish insulating, sheetrocking and painting. Then run new copper airlines and new electrical.

Bought this today.
1986 GMC 4x4 swb, 2" lift.
Totally straight except on small dent above the tail-light. NO RUST, has been in CA until this past year. Clear coat is flaking really bad though.
Kid inherited it from his grandpa (might have been the original owner) and drove it from CA to here and then a little around town since then.
He has no time, money, or interest in fixing a bad tranny (college kid).

It was advertised that it didn't have reverse but all forward gears worked. But when I test drove it, it never got out of first.
Oh well, I am replacing the tranny in the '86 long bed I already own with a high dollar tranny so that tranny will go in this one.
Since I am going to make some major changes to my long-bed, I'll probably drive this one around until that one is done then sell this one.

These are the only pictures I have until I get it home on Moday.

As much as I love your plans for the '31, I would love even more to see that thing restored to 100% original!

I want a pre-WWII Chevy in original condition so bad. I'd love a pre-20s Baby Grand if I could find one... those old cars in original condition are so cool. They make about 30hp, go put put put down the road, stall out at the stoplight, and make everyone within a 500ft radius smile. Plus you could wear driving goggles, gloves, an English-style cap, and a long scarf. Too cool.

But even cooler... a brass era Oldsmobile... 1900-1910!

Yeah, I'm weird. ;)

And BTW your truck is AWESOME.

Not sure? Those are the pictures the guy posted in the ad.
If I had to guess I'd say some where around the town of Snoqualmie; I know they have a lot of historic train stuff there.

Ummm, After I put the 2" coils in. I really dont care for the hard bounce. I really whished I would of went with drop spindles vs the coils. But something I noticed. the rear after flipping it seams kinda "spongie"? If ya can understand that? Its a differ. feeling and I do have new shocks and I did install the drop hangers for the shocks too.
