Polishing trim
What’s everybody doing? I soaked it in draino, then sanded going finer in 2 or 3 steps. Just can’t never seem to get a finish that I’m satisfied with. I’ve been practicing on some older pieces. My short attention span disorder, we’ll call it sasd. Is there a place I can send this stuff to? I’m needing a cab band. Darin

Are you meaning the tailgate band and cab band?

I have a tailgate piece. The cab band is my main concern.

Re: Polishing trim
I took mine off, so I could lay it on a flat surface. I used Brasso polish and rubbed with the grain. Then I used and orbital polisher, but I didn’t go to crazy with it. Now this is going to sound strange, but after I got it where I was happy, I wiped it down with Skin-So-Soft. Leave it on kind of thick and wiped it off later. Some people use WD-40.

Re: Polishing trim
I agree on the brasso. It worked great on mine. But brasso is all I used and as said "go with the grain".
