GOING TO LOOK NIIIIIICE!!!!!

but I am a bit biased! I took my caps off and like them better without caps OR rings. looks more "stripped".

I concur, one of the best looking wheels for these trucks.

Im thinking of running the same, any info on where you got the wheels and possibly more on the "stance" of the truck" ?

Well done...

Re: Pics of my new 15X8 and 15X10 "Vette" rallys

wheels are from Summit, they came out to like $220 to the door.. only took 2 days and they were on the porch... as for the stance, im not sure.. I was told it was a 4/5 drop when i bought it, but after being here and seeing alot of lowered trucks, I dont think its that low

Do you know what size tires you are going to run? Check out John's truck: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...ser=30534&sl=e

I really like the tire combo that he is running. I had some fat 275/60r15's on my 15x10 rims and loved how they looked b'f I went to a taller tire.

Your truck looks great! Can't wait to see those new wheels and tires!

that looks real nice.... i dont see my truck being in some nice paint like that, but it should still look good... it will be flat black once it warms up a bit

just a 350, nothing special...but it sounds fast... plus I got 4:56 gears, so the 30" tall tires should work out better

My truck has 15x8's sitting on 255/60/15 and the rear is 15x10 on 275/60/15.

First with the rallyes painted black, then with the flat caps. Still need to add the trim rings.

WHOOO!!! That'll do the trick! Very nice and clean.

Im running 265/75r15's (30"s) off a 4:11 rearend and it certainly gave me a little more push on the highway. Your 350 will turn the hell out of some 315's if it runs as good as it looks, esp w/ the 4:56's out back. That's be fun between redlights...

Those wheels will look sweet, especially with your truck painted flat black. You gonna leave the wheels silver?

Looking at doing 275/60-15's on the back of my lwb fleetside. What backspacing do we use/need with 10" wheels???
Thanks,

I had been looking at the Cragar Super Spoke wheels but they come up on Summit's web site in 3.75 B/S. Was wondering if the tires would rub on the outboard side. I haven't had the chance to get out and drop a plumb line to measure everything out. Between work and other (wife's) projects, truck is on the back burner, for the moment.
Thanks, Paul

That truck is smooooooth. I'd like to see more of it. And a side shot of those wheels. What kind of cap is that with the Chevy bowtie?
I'd venture to guess they are 245/60/15 and 295/50/15 on 8 & 10 " rims.

I see you have your vacuum advance hooked up to the left (DS) of the carb. I thought it was supposed to be on the right side (PS) ???

The rims looks SWEET!

I'm confused too, there have been several threads on this, one side is ported and one is not. I have mine hooked up to the PS and mine runs well too. Some say ported, some say full advance.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...vacuum+advance

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...advance&page=2

This makes sense to me:

Quote:

Sorry, this is just not correct. Vacuum typically decreases as RPM increases. At WOT if the carb is sized correctly there should be no vacuum

The simple answer to the question is that if you have a stock or near-stock cam, you should connect to ported vacuum as no additional vacuum advance is needed at idle. Ported vacuum is taken above the throttle butterflies, and so is less than manifold vacuum at idle.

If you have an aftermarket cam that's a little warmer, connecting the distributor advance to manifold vacuum will provide additional vacuum advance at idle which can improve idle quality.

Once the butterflies are open to any extent, manifold vacuum and ported vacuum will be virtually identical and so there is no performance/fuel economy/etc. difference - the only reason for additional advance at idle is to smooth out a lumpy cam.
