1980 4x4 jack
 
i am working on a 1980 chevy 4x4 3/4 ton truck. from what i understand there are a lot of different one's, can anyone let me know what years would be correct thanks

I cant describe what it looks like, but if that truck ever gets a flat tire, make sure you have a block of wood with you. The factory jacks never go tall enough, even with stock tires and suspension. If you cant find an original under the hood Jack, a cheap bottle Jack will perform much better, anyway. Use the factory Jack to dress up your engine compartment. Use the bottle Jack to lift the truck.

You're welcome. I would go to junk yards and look at other GM cars from the same time period (early gmt400s may even have the Jack you are after), and see if they have the same style jack. Squares were in production until 91(when you count Suburbans, Blazers, and crew cabs). I dont know if there were different variations of jacks used between 73, and 91 though.
