Unrestored- unbelievable!
Not mine but don't I wish it (Avatars can be deceiving:lol:)... Check out the other 41 pics at:
http://www.rustfreeclassics.com/Chev...azer_Ochra.htm So I wouldn't have ordered ochre but who wouldn't appreciate this truck? http://www.rustfreeclassics.com/imag...re_FrontRB.JPG Not many passengers... http://www.rustfreeclassics.com/imag...e_RearSeat.JPG You mean they came with side panels..? http://www.rustfreeclassics.com/imag...Int_Panels.JPG Look Ma no rust! http://www.rustfreeclassics.com/imag...hre_FloorL.JPG |
My '71 Jimmy was once a Custom trim level truck, but my side panels are now shot. I was thinking of pulling them and using them for patterns to cut 1/4" luan wood panels and then resin coating them. In my copious spare time. LOL.
I guess Ochre was the Teal of its generation.:gmc: |
A pattern would be nice...:)
Wood panels would look nice and make it easy to add some tunes back there. |
That is very purty
|
WOW! You sure do not see that everyday.:burnout:
|
It also has the ultra rare 16.5 wheels.

Mine will be looking that good here soon once my Arizona body arrives. The Ochre Blazer sold for $12,900, which is pricey for one needing trim, and chrome work. |
I have made some 1/4 plywood panels. this winter I plan to redo them now that I have a good pattern
|
That is what I did on my 74. The old side panels were shot so I got some 1/4 plywood and used what was left of the old ones for a pattern. It turned out pretty nice.

I feel Ochre is the best color GM has ever had and looks GREAT on all 70-72 Chevys! Just my opinion
|
I'm thinking of making my panels out of steel gauge metal and having them Rhinolined... I'm having the floorboards and bed on the interior done so it will match. I am putting in carpet tho. Anyways I thought I would have the bedsides done in black Rhinolining and also had some stainless seatbacks made.(Like the black plastic ones that sit on the backs of the buckets) I am thinking of either having those powdercoated or Rhinolined also. Any advice or opinions??

It sound really heavy, but you wouldn't have to worry about it getting rained on. Which for me seems to happen alot.
|
Bone stock with low mile's that is sweet!
|
My Jimmy has those side panels, along with the carpet covering the wheel well arches, and the same saddle interiors as the blazer! Plus mine looks the same under the carpet as that one! :D Im diggin the color too!

Re: Unrestored- unbelievable!
yeah yeah yeah cool side pannels but it looks like a pita with the double wall top. 1 more thing you gotta do to get the top on and off.
