Painted Aluminum

I have a 28' Interstate Trailer that is painted red and am looking for a way to make it shine. Is there a good product that someone knows of that will shine, protect a painted aluminum surface?

Re: Painted Aluminum

Well since it is painted, I would tell you to wax it as normal, except for the aluminum surface as it might become to slick it would become wet.

Flitz is a good aluminum polish, but since your trailer is painted, I'm not sure if this product will still work.

Anyone else?

Re: Painted Aluminum

implements like trailers are typically pianted with an uncatalyzed enamel paint. you may be able to shine it up a bit, but net is a lot of work for
a littel improvement.
The best way to make it shine is to scuff it down and repaint it with
some better automotive acryl enamel, or urethane that you can catalyze that will hold up to the elements better.
In your case, if the paint is in good shape, you could scuff it up and clear it?
