Good morning everyone from the great white north. I noticed that my e brake is seized. The front cable fom the handle through the fire wall and the frame is stuck. I'm not sure how to remove it. where it goes through the frame? any suggestions?

Hello,
these pictures should help:
where the cable goes thru the frame

cable clip on the frame in wheel well

backing off the equalizer nut

cable where it attaches to hand lever

new cable where it goes thru frame

I thought I had some of the new cable after installation, but I don't. The easiest way to remove the old cable at the frame is to break off the little spring fingers.

Hope that helps!

How do you hold down all those clips at the same time to get it out of the hole in the frame?

Use a small hose clamp to compress the fingers when removing . :chevy:

Great! I was also thinking of sliding a nut that is just the right size over it.
