"Blocks" all around for 1" lift....?

Is it feasable to simply add 1" blocks "all around" to obtain 1" of lift......I'm looking to add 1" to 1.5" of lift on my 70 K10 and this seems like it is the easiest solution to me...as the factory springs are still in great shape....

Is this a good idea?

Thanks, Dan

As a body lift? Never put blocks under your front springs. It will spit them out.

1) you could do a add a leaf to your springs
2) ORD makes a 1inch body lift
3) zero rates give you about 1inch of lift ( blocks)

I agree 100%, it is just not safe on the front. The leverage/stress on the mounting area is increased. The front axle gets a lot more force applied to it, cornering, braking, etc.

I would do the ORD zero rate leaf (gain 1" with same ride) or a regular add-a-leaf (it will stiffen the ride though and gain 1.5")

the 1 in zero rate would be fine just dont use a block you need it to be like a add a leaf the zero rates actly bolt to the spring pack so its not like a normal block used to lift the back.
I had a set of ORD zro rates on my blazer for 6 years and 20k never had any trouble.

I think most states have outlawed front blocks...

Thanks for all the advice...took me a bit to figure out what "ORD" was...."Off Road Design"....The "Zero Rates" look like the ticket...they're basically blocks but are really more like add a leafs......safe & legal!
