How do you modify 5" gauge to fit
I am planning on using a 5" gauge set like a Dolphin or something along that line. I understand you have to do some modifications to get them to fit the original stainless rings. Anyone have any articles or instructions on how to do the modification so the 5" gauges will fit a 48? Thanks

Check out Sarge's GMC/s10 swap or Houston54's thread. I thought Houston54 did it originally, but Sarge has a nice write up on the proceedure.

I've got one over on the HAMB and Stovebolt. I put my son's Autometer's into stock housings.
Just found out that another company referenced my tech post when someone approached them to do something similar. They just sent him a link! I'm flattered, now send me some gauges! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=269446 I believe Houston54's link is in my thread as well. |

My post used '54 gauge pods. They are deeper than the 47-53s.
Here is a link to a set done in Scotland using some new Woodward Gauges. http://www.flickr.com/photos/2601498...7622841898720/ |
