I just realized my truck is missing this part but I can't find the name of it so I can order it. Does anyone know the name of this part?

Looks like you are pointing to the front inside window trim. Most of the venders for classic trucks have them, or you can check the parts for sale on this web site. 53 3100 Randy

Window garnish, no one makes it and they are hard to find not rotted out. Ebay is your best bet

I'm not sure that I have any spares that are worth the trouble and cost of shipping.

I'd check the classifieds and see if there are any or check craigslist in the areas around Austin to find what you need. Check adds that list other parts for the cabs and call and ask. There is guy down in
San Antonio area that either scraps trucks out or scrounges the area for parts to sell who always has a bunch of stuff listed on this group https://www.facebook.com/groups/47.5...?ref=bookmarks he tends to be a bit high by my estimation but I still remember buying my truck for 75.00 and driving it to work the next day.

Yes, Its on the short list of parts not repopped. like 51 doors, 47-55 windshield garnish, 47-49 left outer cowl panel. 47-48 floor pan and can mount.

Don't forget AD lever action shock connection eye bolt.

My '54 truck came with the "mouse-ear" lights on top of the front fenders. I do not know their function or what switch they connect.

Aftermarket turn signals. If they sit on top of the fenders like the ones on my 51 1-1/2 ton.

The truck probably has or has had a clamp on the column turn signal switch.

That gives me a clue. I do not have anything clamped on the column but there is a mystery toggle just left of the column under dash. I've seen this switch from other interior pics. Maybe that is supposed to control the lights.

I have a neighbor with a 48 that is seriously original and I need to get photos of the little pieces that go at the center moulding on the inside. And also the pieces that go over the center of the two door seals that go on the inside of the cab. I don't remember ever seeing ones like his truck has! The one you see in this photo coming down over the seam of the two windshield mouldings is like what I remember seeing and that is what I have for my truck. His has something way more complicated, I need to get photos.

The piece in the center is held in place by the bottom screw that holds the divider bar in place. You could fab one a lot quicker than you can probably find one.

The thing is Mr48 I have those that I made. But this 48 that is up the street from me has MUCH more complex ones, they go over side to side over the mouldings! I just walked by there a half hour ago and the trucks not parked in front of his house. He has a few of these trucks (dually flatbeds) and I hope he didn't sell it or something damn I should have gotten those photos the minute I saw them.

I thought that mine had something a bit more elaborate on it but I pulled the moldings out when I chopped it and those pieces are probably in the old grain shed in a falling apart box.

There you go! I was blown away when I saw them. And there was something similar on the weatherstrip mouldings over the door opening at the head liner. Do you have any of them for a photo?

No I don't. The cabs I have with roofs are a 49 and two 51s I have a roof out back that I'll go look at though Actually the whole top part of a 5 window cut through the cowl and below the style line in the back. I'm not sure what year that one is.

Those small pieces are usually included when you buy the center trim. If you already have a good center trim, the pieces would be easy to make.

It's the large molding pieces that are hard to find since they're not reproduced.
That's why I have a spare stainless set in my attic.

Those pieces always seem to get lost in the shuffle as I have seen a lot of trucks missing them over the years. They are pretty thin metal maybe 20 gauge and drilling the hole would be the hard part. If I were making them I'd drill the hole in a piece of tin and then cut the piece out.

I'm heading out to the junk yard Saturday if it doesn't rain. There are a few 51-53's out there if they are the same? Do you still need them and what pieces do you need?
