08 tahoe gauges go crazy

Just bought an 08 tahoe with 254xxxmi and the gauge cluster works maybe 30% of the time. The back lighting, PRNDL, and message center work 100% of the time and never flicker or dim but all the gauges quit at the same time very frequently. Checked the IPC fuse but if that is pulled the whole dash quits. Know the older models had stepper motor issues but believe that each gauge was affected separately and they would be twitchy. My gauges are smooth and accurate if working. Assuming there is something else wrong in the wiring at this point but didn't know if someone had ever had a issue like this. Rough roads don't affect it any worse than normal and checked the pins and connector on the back of the cluster. Gave it the wiggle test and didn't seem to affect it any. This wouldn't be a major thing if the cruise would work but after checking for correct/ burnt bulbs and changing the brake switch it's still rarely works. Doesn't quit with the dash either. Ran 3/4 tank of gas through it and cruise never quit, then after that it might turn on for 2 seconds or 10 mins or not at all. Really hard to hold your speed with no gauges or cruise lol
