Sold my 72 and just got through paying for a 76 Chalet. Here are some pics from the previous owner, I will post more when I get it. It is getting shipped and should be here the end of next week. I will now spend most of my time in this section of the forum :chevy::gmc2:

Now there is a piece of history that I would love to own. Very well preserved!

Thanks, it is close to original and I will keep it that way. My only modification will be to put in an NOS 8-track player in it. :metal:

I am gonna use it to camp in the Pryor, Big Horn and Beartooth Mountains nearby, I am in the mountains 2-3 times a week doing archaeological research. I plan to also take it to car shows and it will provide a nice place to stay while I show it and my other vehicles. Probably gonna put some color match bed liner on the lower white/tan portion to protect it from rock chips. Other than that it will be used on my yearly week-long camping trip to Yellowstone Park with my brother.

Yup, have done a lot of research and have received a ton of help from member 77blazerchalet. I wanted one in great original condition that I didn't have to put a ton of money into and could enjoy right away. I need all my money because I am still restoring my 69 firebird

Nice! I'm happy to see one go to a good home. I see some sad pics of Chalets and they make me want to buy one and fix it up. Maybe someday.

Thanks, It is going to a good home. If you join the chalet yahoo group you will have access to a file with most of the known chalets and casa grandes for sale. They do need to be saved, too many are in need of major repairs. If you have the extra cash and ambition, a worthwhile project in my humble opinion.

Re: Just bought a Chalet-pics

Very clean example i see. Sadly i gave mine away a few weeks ago. Needed a motor...body rot was to much for me to handle so i ended up keeping the 79 i have a ton of coin into which sports a 4 wheel pop top i'll be working on this summer after we get it repowered with a 6.0 transplant. Archy work eh?
You have my attention...might looking at a few middle of no where pix for me if you have the time...?

Wow, thought the kid had persuaded you to keep it. Who has it now?

*Oh, and for those who want one, keep an eye on my map of ones for sale around the country, PM me for contact info for the sellers, and/or join the Yahoo forum that DW created, that's how our man Pryorstemmed found his #0099 Chalet*

Thanks, I hear you are another guru on these rigs. Too bad you had to get rid of yours, I am sure you will pick up another some time in the future  And for sure, send me some pics, I will do my best to tell you what you want to know.

Re: Just bought a Chalet-pics

Title is still in my name as he knows i could flop myself silly on the entire deal.
Still might do a swap swap of the campers...4 wheel pop top is great being light
however....the chalet cuts thru the air very nice compared to the 4wheel sail...

Clint has the 77 we saved from denver and has mine right now as well...also gave
him my 78 2wd K5 project...trying hard to jettison excess baggage so i have less
to move around. Still uber paranoid from job loss in 09.

Pryor...i'm kinda the doc jones type with no schooling. I run across stuff that i guess
shouldn't be but is. Stuff archy's will not touch since it goes against the recorded grain
so to speak...and thats why i have my beloved K5 with camper. How do i send u a picture outside of here...

77blazerchalet,

Thanks for all your help in finding one, you'll be the first to get pics when it arrives.
