1963-66 Fleetside Sport Bumper Rock Guards
 

I went to a friend of mine who has a fab shop. I asked him if he could make some of the rock guards for me. He said he could. He did a 3D image of the factory rock guards. I told him that I only needed three sets made. He laughed at me. He told me with the setup time, he would have to make 30 sets to make it worth his time. They turned out very nice. Do you have a picture of where these go once installed? I can't seem to visualize where they go!

They go on each side between bumper and bed. If you have the sport bumper there is two holes on the brackets they bolt down to

Step, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you didn't need to reinvent the wheel here - those bumper brace covers are only 34.95 in most catalogs and have been reproduced for a long time. Not sure why you didn't just order a set.

Because I wanted parts that fit and look good on my trucks. There is some out there that are not even close to the factory ones

I looked at the repros a couple years ago, and they didn't have the little dimples in them like the originals--and yours--do.

Received the rock guards and extremely pleased with their quality. Will be using them on my 66’ C20 Custom Camper. My original ones are beat up and hard to straighten. These are an excellent reproduction of the originals, that will fit well on the CustomCamper restoration.
Thank you for doing the rock guards as a high quality representation of the original. These will definitely helps in restoration of our trucks, or anybody wanting to add a nice detail to their truck. They definitely look cool .

Included photos showing them installed. Photos are from other post on the forum, credit to original post. Last photo shows them best. Will also post photo of original attaching bolts soon.

Thanks Les and Brad I am glad you like them I just wanted a part that fit and look factory. There is some out there on the market that don't look that good. You get what you pay for anymore thanks for the pictures Les they look good

Hmmm....I never pulled my reproduction ones out of the box when they got here. Now Im gonna have to find what I did with them and check to see if they are the same as original like they were depicted....
