Bought my 1972 blazer a few weeks ago and have been spending as much time as possible gathering parts and tearing her apart! Figured I would post some pics and show ya'll how its been going. Appreciate Any tips or comments!

The pictures of the top above are of a single wall i found near where I live. I really lucked out finding it because the top I have on the blazer now is a double wall... but, my blazer has the holes for a single wall.
Plus this single wall I found is in terrific shape, minus it's hatch! There weren't cracks or weak spots in the fiberglass which my double wall is full of.

But on another note, has anyone drilled holes in their bed for putting on a different type top? Just wondering if it is as easy as just drilling the holes??(because I was thinking about maybe keeping both tops)

let me know if you need anything. I tore mine down a few times now and have it down to a science haha... many people probably do. Just do yourself a favor and dont cut the wires. If you plan on rewiring it with original or with aftermarket it is still helpful to have it intact for reference.

Well I am about to begin on my floorboard replacement. Ordered the complete floor pan (I'm going to need it lol) but I had a question on replacing the rocker panels. Do I need to order a inner rocker panel along with the outer? Or is the inner part of the rocker panels a part of this complete floor pan? I'm a little confused..

You've got a lot of options for patching in replacement panels, but you are correct that the floorboard curves down to form the inner rocker panel.

Thanks 71restorod. By the way, I live your blazer. It's just what a beauty looks like! Hope one day mine will be as nice. What size lift/tires you have?

I went to greenville, tx to pick up the back seat. Thought I was never going to find one! I also went to fort smith, ark to get these doors and this grille.

I ordered it from topbanana.com. it is a truck floor board tho, it takes some major tweaking. like welding on nuts for bucket seats and shortening the floor. But it was really the only choice for me and it worked out really nicely!

Thanks i got a cab floor assembly from LMC for 67-72 truck with all braces just seem so much bigger .Hope mine turns out half as good as yours looks Good looking job, thanks again for input

No problem. I ended up cutting the back off about 10 inches or so (where the gas tank on a truck would set) and then i cut it split down the middle so it could slide in much easier and that made it much easier to get it where it needs to be! Just don't forget to get some nuts welded on, for your bucket seats, before it goes in. (you can't get to like four of the nuts once its in because they set over the torsion boxes)

is that a 2WD rearend?
