Let's see the 8 lug wheels

I would like to see the different 8 lug wheels folks have put on their trucks. Not lowering my truck so looking for stock 3/4 ton height maybe a little higher.

Yes, they look great so they are discontinued. The best looking wheels that have come out for 8-lug they always discontinue to come out with dumb looking wheels. The wheel companies just can't accept that people like clean and simple strong looking wheels on an 8-lug truck. They don't need superficial notches nooks and crannies, fake rivets or bolts, two-tone black and alloy, or skinny little spokes so you can look through wheels that look like they would snap under heavy loads.

My 8 lug unicorn if you will.

Re: Let's see the 8 lug wheels

I've always been stuck on the wheels of the era anyway. I ignored the '80s sawblade wheels and anything else that came out and just stuck with my slots or steelies. Weld made Sidewinders and Outbacks in the '90s and I used those on some trucks, but they discontinued them after not such a long time. Alcoa made a good looking 5-spoke star pattern Super Single and dropped them, although they continued them as dually wheels. American Racing still makes the AR-23s that look decent. I never likes the '80s fake rivets, but with other choices given I have learned to accept the rivets as a throw-back style now. Beat fake beadlocks, foolish divets and lumps in other wheel styles. I just wish a wheel company would settle down and make a reasonable wheel. Stop with the out do one another. Just look at aluminum slots from back in the day. Several companies all made virtually the same wheel. Looks at turbine/Vector/finned aluminum type wheels, same thing. Same with car wheels. There were a few styles of mag wheel with slight variations from brand to brand. And here's the real kicker... Those wheels are all still loved today! So much that they brought many of them back. That's what classic is, always in style.

Here is mine with 16.5
It is true getting harder to find tire for these rims.

I too love the simpler look.

thanks!

I have a set of Mickey Thompson Challenger wheels on my 71 K/20. I bought them brand new. I get asked all the time if I want to sell them.

Oh, and that’s the original paint on that truck too

Awesome truck! I really like the Challengers. Old School with a bit of modern mixed in. Since I am now switching to 1 ton running gear on my truck I cannot use the brand new set of 6 lug MT Challengers I bought when they ceased production.
Got a set of US Mags Indy U101's to go on the truck.

Just got some US Mags 17x10 Slots!. I am so happy these are being made. By far my all time favorite wheels are slots. I'm getting tires mounted next week and will post pics of them on the K2500. They did a great job on remaking these wheels and NOT putting fake rivets and other bs on them ( I hear ya Tim)

I never mounted these on the truck (almost, and still think about it...)

ALUMINUM WHEEL; 17 x 8; 43.18MM OFFSET;
5 SPOKE; 8 LUG x 6.5 BOLT PATTERN.

Not the best pic, but I went with 16x8 Wheel Vintiques (satin black):

16.5s in 8.25 and 9.75. Finally this look can be had again with the new aluminum slots being made in sizes made to fit today's tires
