15 x 14 Rims 10" back spacing?
 

Hello again friends. Can someone provide a good source for low budget 15x14 rims with custom back spacing? Currently my axles are 6 lug 1969 vintage trailing arm. Any additional comments on clearances, best brake line re-route fix, and e-brake setup would be appreciated. I would also entertain some mockup rims prior to blowing the budget on a narrowed axle. Thanks.

Comment: Remove the rear bumpstop + bracket on the outside of the frame. Cut the bedfloor to clear & stretch those tubs! On a coil/trailing-arm truck you can fit a 15x14" wheel w/10" of back spacing & not hit the frame rail. The wheel tubs in the bed only need to be enlarged as big as the tire. I had Mickey Thompson 31x18.5x15's on widened/custom offset corvette ralleys w/the above spacing on my 67 short fleet w/a stock length truck 12bolt rear end. This all depends on the relationship between rear-end & trailing arms not being altered (no lowering blocks).

Comment: I am running a standard 1968 width axle, using 18.5" wide Hoosier pro street radials Floor of the bed is cut back flush with the frame rail Wheel tubs widened accordingly I changed the springs over to a non tapered style similar to what is on the front suspension - you will not have enough room for a tapered spring (if you do not mind I would suggest just welding on spring perch's and using coil over set closer to the center of the truck, adjustable for ride height and dampening) Wheels are -offset by 8.75" (I would only go 8.25" next time - I think I can push 1/2" + into the wheel well without issue but I am to close to the ebrake line and had to build brackets to pull them away from the wheels to keep them from rubbing

Comment: 1.5" clearance on the frame rails and 1" clearance on the outer fender lip.

Comment: stock frame/suspension only problem i ran into was balancing the tires. The machines don’t have a long enough arm.. could balance on a bubble balancer though.
