Burb patch panels

Does anyone know if any place makes LH inner rocker patch panels that are essentially the false 4th door lower? Or is this a piece you have to make your self?

Also, is there any better place to buy the rockers. Especially the drinker's side. Do they all come 2 piece? It looks like LMC sells the RH as a 2 piece. I know there are around 4 or 5 different brands for the trucks. I'd like to get better ones the first round if you know what I mean.

Outer rockers and quarter panels are pretty much all the burb specific stuff you will find. The outer rockers for the front doors must be modified at the rear. The inners are pretty much flat. I thought the extended outer floor/inner rocker patch would be the same as the pickup, but that’s not what I’m finding. And it must be massively modified to use for the 3rd. Same goes for rear pillar for 3rd door. If you are dealing with the aft portion of the inner rocker on the drivers side where it ties into the brackets that go to the crossmember under the front of the plywood, you’re on your own. I’m dealing with that now on the other side. I’m finding most of this is modifying and fabricating.

As far as who to buy from, good luck. Many suppliers just drop ship stuff, so they really have no idea what they are sending you. I put in a large order from one place, and they sent me stuff that ran the whole range from excellent to terrible. Some of the people you talk to don’t seem to know what the term “gauge” means. I got so frustrated that I spent hours researching where this stuff comes from (Taiwan) and you are correct that there are just a few places that actually make it. Then it gets relabeled. I thought stuff labeled “Key” was looking pretty good so I tried to specifically order that, and then was disappointed. Two years ago I bought a cab corner for my ‘79 pickup from LMC. When I got it, it was approximately the same thickness as a Coors Light can. To return it would cost more than I paid for the part. I called customer service, and the woman sent somebody down to rummage through their bin I guess. They found a good one and expedited it to me for no charge. I was impressed, but it tells me that even the places that don’t drop ship really have no idea and don’t care about what they stock.

Hopefully somebody else here can give you more insight. Good luck.
