Hi Captain. Figured this would be easier than the PMs. Can you show me a pic of the mounting plate, HB plate, and the clutch piece together? Price for all, powder coated black, shipped to MO?

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

I already replied to your PM from earlier. Here again is the link to the for sale thread for the '67-'72 booster bracket with the hydraulic clutch conversion.

http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=652871

And the for sale thread for the hydroboost mounting plate.

http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=347480

The prices are Exactly the same as in post #1 of every for sale thread. The total combined cost for one '67-'68 booster bracket with the hydraulic clutch conversion and one hydroboost mounting plate, both in satin black powder coat with shipping will be $279.40.

Hey cap I received the bracket. Man that was fast! Thank you can’t wait to get it in. Just for clarity I need to re drill a hole in my pedal arm 1” lower correct?

Captainfab 12-19-2018 12:57 AM

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Yes you will want to drill a booster pushrod hole on the brake pedal 1" lower than the original. You can try it in both locations and see how you like each one.

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Great Thank you. I test fit it and it looks like it should have come that way from the factory.
Thanks again.

Anyone post which booster this was? I have the same issue with the shift linkage hitting the booster, and wanted to get the smaller booster that is a direct fit.

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

That appears to be about a 7" dual diaphram universal aftermarket booster. With the column shify on the '67-'72's you can use up to a 9.5" diameter booster. I always suggest going with as large a diameter booster as you can fit.

What pushrod clevis and pin are you guys using? My old ones went with the old bracket, so I need to replace it.

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Which Tuff Stuff booster would be easier to modify for my 1968 Chevy C10 I am upgrading to 4wheel discs?

2229NB also used for 68-82 Corvette along with a mid 70's vette 4 wheel disc mastercylinder.

or

2224NB which has a longer pushrod than the above booster.

I see both are listed on your sheet for boosters that will work with your booster adapter bracket.

Captainfab 12-29-2019 10:01 PM

Re: Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

I don't know if one would necessarily be easier than the other. Both are going to need the pushrod lengthened to reach your brake pedal. I suppose it depends on your skills and what you have to work with.
