Here is my SPID, also what is the heavy duty aux rear seat.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?

I think the Heavy Duty Aux Seat is actually the passenger seat. A passenger seat was optional as was the rear seat. My K5 has the same two options for seatings as yours.

The one standard seat is a driver's HD/utility seat. The AN3 adds a passenger HD/utility seat without a console. The upgrade A50 bucket seat option replaced the driver's seat with an upgrade bucket seat and added a matching passanger seat with center console.
The AS3 rear seat option was a three passenger bench seat that was matched to either front seat option. The standard cover or the upgrade CST cover.

Folks it looks like we have a CST Highlander here!! What color plaid would be installed on this bronze K5?? If the chrome hub caps were an option, what came standard on CST vs. base model K5's? Full wheel covers were optional I assume.

Re: Blazer SPID thread?

Pete,
Too easy, code 671 is a CST/Highlander w/grey inserts. Per the color chart that was the only "recommended" plaid combination on a 522 bronze Blazer.

The standard CST hub caps were the painted version.
The P03 caps were optional on all Blazers with compatible wheels.
The P01 wheelcovers were available on 4x4 or 4x2 versions.
On 4x2 Blazers you could also order PA1 wheelcover.

Not sure which caps or covers were standard with the "package" Highlander Blazers (YG6-8), as the literature only mentions the pickup covers/caps directly. However it is possible 4x2 package Blazers were PA1 wheelcovers and 4x4 Blazers were P03 as part of the savings package.

Thanks Tim - grey was my guess and that's very helpful info for us re: hub caps. Pete

Good move, I'd like to reproduce my original SPID as well. Guessing you bought a blank reproduction & completed the details yourself? I think the most difficult part of the process would be finding a working type writer. Maybe a print shop?

See member Chipflyer's website for repro SPIDs: http://www.outintheshop.com/ There's an example posted on my K20 build thread linked to me signature below.

Anyone notice that in Tim's posted GM add above it indicates that "water-proofed" clusters and ignition bezels came on K5's (listed under STANDARD interior)? Really?

Not a SPID but here (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=168345) is a list of RPOs from a K5 that include an auxiliary battery. I can understand an aux battery on a truck with a camper - but a K5? Not many 1/2 ton trucks seem to be so equipped.

AS3-Rear Seat
A68-Rear Center Seat Belt
B93-Door Edge Guards
DF2-Camper Mirrors-Stainless
F76-Front Wheel Lock Hub
LS9-350 Cu In V-8 Engine
NA4-Skid Plate
PV6-H78x15 Belted White
TP2-Auxiliary Battery
V37-Front and Rear Chrome Bumpers
Z58-Auxiliary Top-White
668-Black Vinyl Trim
AN3-Heavy Duty Auxiliary Seat
A11-Tinted Glass
BX2-Body Side Molding-)W)ide?
C60-4-Season Air Conditioning
F51-Front and Rear Shock Absorber
G80-Positraction Axle
M49-Turbo Hydra-matic
N40-Power Steering
PO1-Full Wheel Covers

Root Beer or Dog Food, tough choice but I will have to go with the dog food. :-)

Now is this a hypothetical question or on a SPID I missed?
The only period vehicles I can recall seeing RPO V10 on were fleet/medium duty trucks.

But I do know of a TP2 truck with an added overflow tank. It was installed on the right as expected and the washer bottle had been relocated back to the left side.

Tim - Dog food it is then. We couldn't come up with a adequate location for a GM coolant recovery tank on my K20 with the TP2 aux battery installed. It would have to ride so high to clear the inner fender posterior to j-blocks on either fender that I believe the hood would contact it when closed. I wanted it to work - may use it on my K5.

Here's the only SPID I know of that lists an RPO coolant recovery tank (I want one of those listed magnet plugs). Maybe a fleet truck?:

A new SPID for my collection. Of course sometimes the "dealer installed" options are pure frosting.

Nice example Tim - how about a pic of an Eagle Feathers accessorized Blazer!

Pete,
Don't have any "good" pictures of the Blazer this came off of but I will look through my stash. To hold you over here is a print ad for the Mod Bods sticker packages. A flyer too.
