My truck is weird...

It has this strange habit of suddenly blaring the horn while I am turning a corner lately. I take off the wheel, remount the wheel, and the problem goes away- for a while. It also has this weird thing where the left brake light turns off when the right turn signal is appled. Anybody else have trucks with their own personalities?

Mine does that same thing with the horn also mine likes to put my tac setting on a 4 cylender so i looik down at my tac and i am do 9000 rpm going 60 mph and for some reason turning on to a main street it likes to do a one wheel wonder

As far as your horn goes, it's probably either the horn button, or the wire grounding out. The brake light deal is in your turn signal switch. If you have someone stand behind the truck, while you have the brakes applied, and wiggle the lever around, I'll bet the problem goes away.

Mine's tried to piss tranny fluid at me for over a year now. No worries though. I'm about to fix that.

My turn signal does the exact same thing. I have found that on mine, there is a small spot in the turn signal travel that the brake light and turn signal will work.
I call it personality...carizma even. ;)

my back up light wouldnt shut off whenever the key was on, spent an hour chasing wires and then realized when i hit the aux tank switch(camper cab) the lights went out. old owner musta wired it up like that. its great cuz whenever someones on my ass il just turn on my back ups and hit them in the face

I had a vw beetle that did that horn trick. Honked whenever you turned the wheel a little to the left. Turned out to be a crack in the insulation for the wire leading up through the steering column to the horn button.

Several years later, the horn rusted off the car. Fell right onto the street and I ran over it.

Mine's sneaky.. it'll run for months without a single problem, and make you think it's reliable.. and then, BAM! It'll break down in the middle of nowhere. For no apparent reason at all.
