Looks aftermarket, Based on the shape it may be an Auburn unit. If you are trying to tell the series then need to know the teeth counts of both ring & pinion.

Thank you. Its 13:41 so a 3.23. The car was a 2.73 and G80, so I was surprised when I took the cover off.

Re: What carrier is this

They had to change the carrier with the gear ratio change. The 3.23 won't fit on the 2.73 carrier.

Is that a 7.5" gear? Camaro's had auburn units.

Yes, from a 1995 Z28. The code is a G80, which means usually a Gov-lock.

The Unit pictured is Not a Gov-Loc.

I'd guess the Gov-loc blew into a million little pieces and was replaced with that unit. As stated, probably Auburn.
